Hayden

A year and a half ago I was photographing Jordan and Adams wedding... this week I photographed their 3 month old baby, Hayden. Such a SWEET and Happy baby! I have known Jordan since we were babies ourselves and am just so thrilled for her family and I just can't wait to watch little Hayden grow!

Tribute to Mothers

After quarantining myself to my room yesterday for some MUCH needed me time, I ran across a parenting magazine that I have been meaning to read since last spring (OOPS)! I found an article that was very inspiring for me as a mother, "I long ago abandoned the dream that I'd be the mother on the playground serenely entertaining my children with sock puppets I'd lovingly crafted from recyclable materials. I am instead the woman who runs breathlessly, tardily to school pickup, who picks glitter out of her laptop and whose underpants may right at this moment be inside out. But being a working mom teaches me to wrangle and even enjoy the chaos of my life. It forces me to reach out. It reminds me to embrace solitude. And it affords me daily opportunities for moments of contentment. That's good enough. In fact, as long as I remember to keep breathing, it's pretty great".  Being a mother is an ongoing quest to find balance in a chaotic life, constantly searching for a moment of zen. All I know is at the end of the day when I am laying down with my children and I watch them as they sleep, I can't think of any other life that I would rather have. That is my moment of zen. So here is my little tribute to mothers everywhere, thank you for sharing your little bundles of chaos with me!

Let the leaves fall~

Autumn is absolutely my favorite time of year! The air, the festivals, the leaves....everything about it (not to mention money couldn't buy the type of backdrops that come in the fall)!!!!
Here's to some of my fall faves :)
